I’ve been promising for quite some time that this site would be revived at some point, and to be honest, I’ve wanted to do it for awhile, but time constraints and lack of vision for an overall look have killed it. I think I finally settled on a theme that will work for what I’m looking to do. I’m going to open the site back up and I’ve installed a forum section that users can register for the site and use. Beat2K hasn’t been the typical Beat2K in quite a few years due to an ever changing gaming industry. Many people have tried to open businesses based upon the LAN Party idea, and almost all have failed. This is because it’s easier for most people to sit at home, subscribe to XBL or another service, and not have to drag equipment anywhere. I’m still puttering around thinking of a larger party at some point, but lack of time and the will to re-setup a gaming rig come into play.
Whats this site for then?
I’m going to start work on obtaining industry standard certifications and I’ll blog about the trials and tribulations through this website. I’ll also be posting video game related items and we’ll see how this goes. I’ll also be posting all of the old content from past parties including videos, photos and other swag.
